Our Team
Richard Cooper
Richard initially worked in hotel management at the renowned Ritz Hotel in London, and premier golfing venue Wentworth Club, before embarking on a 30-year career in investment banking in the city of London. A long-standing member of Mosimann’s dining Club, Richard has a passion for delivering the highest standards of service to clients in all walks of life, and believes that professional integrity, reliability and discretion are just as important as on-board standards of food and beverage service. In this regard, Cooper Racing is more than just a hospitality company.
Kate Beavan
Originally practicing as a lawyer in Oxford, Kate moved into the world of performance cars and sport with Tom Walkinshaw in 1996, working on his automotive design projects and his interests in Rugby, V8 racing and Formula 1.
In 2003 Kate was recruited by Bernie Ecclestone at Formula One Management where she worked with him on numerous commercial and legal projects around F1’s intellectual property protection, brand licencing, sponsorships, hospitality and CSR including the creation of the F1 in Schools programme.
When Formula 1 was acquired by Liberty Media in 2017 Kate was appointed Director of the Global Hospitality and Experiences division and was responsible for introducing a raft of innovative revenue generating initiatives such as the Pirelli Hot Laps programme, supercar auctions on the F1 grid and the hugely successful F1 Experiences brand.
Kate left Formula 1 in 2021 to pursue her own advisory business and has been active in bringing new commercial entrants into sport and advising companies who have the imagination and ambition to want the very best out of their investment in motorsport.
Kate is very proud to be the Main Board Advisor to More Than Equal; a not-for-profit organisation founded by ex F1 driver David Coulthard and entrepreneur Karel Komarek and whose purpose is to find and develop the first female Formula 1 World Champion. More Than Equal has built the sport’s first talent identification and driver development programme built for women and girls and is currently training and developing a number of young female racers .
Kate is also Deputy Chair of the European board of SIGA, the Sport Integrity Global Alliance which aims to bring universal ESG standards to global sport.
